Straight Bore Corrugated Moulder Heads: 1.25" Bore, 100mm (4") O.D.
The 100mm line, 4" body diameter, is designed for spindle shapers and most smaller non-jointed moulders. These heads offer the flexibility to use corrugated knife steel with high rpm roation to cut either hardwood or softwoods with the same head body. Our dual cutting angle moulder heads have 2 corrugated knife pockets at a 12 degree cutting angle for hardwood to reduce raised grain and 2 corrugated knife pockets at a 20 degree cutting angle to reduce fuzzing in softwoods. It is like getting two heads for the price of one! This is the best choice for custom millwork producers who need the flexiblity to handle any job at a moments notice without having to stock many different cutterheads. Filler wedges for the empty un-used pockets are required. All heads are precision CNC machined from high strength steel & ISO GQ 1.0 balanced to 9,000 rpm. Heads exceed stringent European OEM standards to produce smooth material finishes with years of trouble free use. We also offer single hook heads in 10, 12, 15, or 20 degrees or a combination. T-bushings are available for shapers with 1" diameter spindles. Call for custom combinations of cutting angles, outer diameters, and bore sizes not listed below.
